Melasma; It is a skin disease which is seen as brown spots due to sun exposure on the face skin. If it occurs during pregnancy, it is called chloasma. It is most commonly seen on the cheeks, nose, forehead and on the lip, and usually on both sides of the face. People with dark skin have a higher risk of being seen. Melanocyte cells, which give color to our skin, are produced as a result of the production of melanin. Cosmetic products such as familial predisposition, exposure to sunlight, pregnancy hormonal changes and contraceptive use, some makeup products, cologne, perfume, soap and moisturizers can also cause staining especially after contact with the sun.
